ENERGY-UTILITIES

Energy and utilities systems are increasingly driven by complex optimisation challenges involving smart grids, energy distribution, renewable integration, storage management, and electric mobility. At AngelQ Quantum Computing, we develop qubit-efficient quantum optimisation technologies that enable large-scale energy-management problems to be tackled using today's hybrid quantum-classical systems, dramatically reducing the quantum resources required compared to standard approaches. One example is our award-winning work in the Quantum City Challenge in Canada, where AngelQ won the Smart Charging of Electric Vehicles track for developing a qubit-efficient optimisation approach for large-scale EV charging scheduling and energy balancing problems. The work demonstrated how near-term quantum computing can support intelligent EV fleet charging and smart-grid optimisation under realistic network and power-capacity constraint.
